This is Jun Kakeru, creator and team leader for "Yet Another Killing Game". I've been advised to be more active with sharing the behind-the-scenes and doing dev logs, but frankly, I'm not the best at gauging what would be interesting for dev log readers so PLEASE GIVE SUGGESTIONS on what you'd like me to write about!

Today, I'm mainly announcing that the demo for "Yet Another Killing Game" (YAKG) is now available to play through here at itch.io or Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux users. Please note that the "Day 1 Demo" is an older version of YAKG that will not transfer save data to the full version, and also no longer accurately reflects the full story.

I can also state here for those interested the reason for having the demo available on both itch.io and Steam. A while back, I did some research on the preferences of visual novel players, and among various QoL features (which the demo has, wink wink), I found that some players dislike playing games on Steam due to "DRM", which I'm still not fully clear on. Nevertheless, I wanted to ensure visual novel beginners and veterans alike can all have a comfortable time playing YAKG, so I sincerely hope you will give the demo a try and sense my warmest intentions behind these girls trying to kill each other. :)

The full version is due for release in January 2025, which at the time of writing this is NEXT MONTH. My team and I will be pretty head-down and focused to get it all done, so I desperately PLEAD you all to help spread the word of YAKG, share it with your friends and family who might be interested in a game like this. I only know so many people myself. You have more power than you think.
